I now have 89 Marilyn Monroe books in my collection.  I prefer to collect photo books, especially photos that were previously unreleased. I don't really buy biographies anymore because it is typically the same material told over and over again. I also don't buy the "cover-up theory" kind of books.  I prefer to celebrate Marilyn for her life than the way she died.

The very first Marilyn item I ever got was the book "Marilyn" by Barris/Steinem.  I purchased it second hand for 25 cents and I was captivated by the photos of Marilyn and determined to learn all I could about this fascinating woman.

I have been lucky enough to acquire several autographed books. The George Barris autograph is my favourite because I actually got to meet him and obtain it in person. But a close second is the book Jimmie Dougherty signed for me. I am just so thrilled to have it in my collection and touched that he was kind enough to sign it for me.

If you follow the below link you will be taken to a complete listing of all my MM books including scans of the covers and reviews.  I hope this will help the book collectors out there.
